Members of the Missouri Federation of Music Clubs are called to gather for the annual state convention in Columbia, May 17-18, 2013.

We have plans for a memorable convention, so clear the calendar, make your plans and reservations, bring your club members, and be a part of the fun!  See you there!

JUNIOR COMPETITION

The MFMC Junior Competition is one of the highlights of our state convention Saturday afternoon when students from each of Missouri’s six districts compete for monetary awards, and scholarships to IPFAC’s Piano & Strings Camp. This event will be held at UTT Recital Hall

 

Friday Evening Concert

“More the Merrier”

We will be enjoying a fun, talented team of UMC faculty members on Friday evening, as they combine their talents to perform a concert that they have named “More the Merrier”. This concert will feature Mia Hynes (piano), David Adams (tenor), Jacob Sentgeorge (tenor) and Stella Adams (soprano).

They will combine their talents to present to us a merry mix of solo and ensemble material in a merry mix of genres! Don’t miss this!

 

MEMORIAL SERVICE

Send names of members who have died between May 2012 – May 2013 to Chris Vitt A brief prepared biography of the member can be shared during the memorial service on Saturday morning.

CLUB PRESIDENT’S REPORT

We want to hear about the activities of your club this past year.  Each senior club president (or her representative) should bring 2 copies of her report and present the report during our Friday morning session.

 

SENIOR CLUB REPORTS

As the year draws to a close, please complete the Senior Club Report form and bring to the convention or mail to Marge Main, 2214 Stony Point, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.  Forms are available on our MFMC website: MissouriFMC.org .

Be Inspired to Inspire – Gloria Grilk

National Guest- Gloria Grilk

Gloria Grilk, from Bella Vista, AR, will be the National Guest at the 2013 MFMC Spring Convention in Warrensburg. Gloria is currently serving as the Vice Present in charge of the South Central Region. She has served the Federation in an impressive number of leadership positions, in both Iowa and in Arkansas, plus national positions. She understands the work of the entire NFMC system, since she has done the work from bottom to top, ranging from the founding of  local clubs, managing Festivals, state level leadership roles, and multiple roles in Inspiration Point leadership. She will bring a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to our gathering. Energetic and inspiring!
